Reserve your pig now for Fall 2024. Our pigs are sold on hoof and brought to a USDA certified slaughterhouse for you. They are raised on fruit and veggie scraps, corn, and a grain mixture in a calm environment. Our pigs are rotated through our gardens and pastures to ensure they receive the best care and a happy life.

 We will have a limited number of pigs available. Butcher date is August 21, 2024. Unsmoked meat will be ready for pickup within 2-3 weeks of butcher date. Smoked meats will be ready 4-6 weeks after butcher date.

$6.50 pound (packaged weight- not hanging weight)

$150 deposit

Current butcher: Adams Farm in Athol, MA. Buyers have a right to choose their butcher, but we have appointments set with Adams Farm. You can select a custom butcher if desired for a lower price. Contact us for more information.

Buyer pays for all butcher fees. The following is an estimate for butcher fees, which is subject to change depending on slaughterhouse used:

  • $35 slaughter fee
  • $1.15/ pound hanging weight processing fee
  • $0.10/lb labelling fee
  • Smoking (optional): $2.35/lb dried weight
  • Bulk sausage (optional): $0.95/lb
  • Linked sausage (optional): $2.25-$2.65/lb (minimum 25 pounds)

Our whole pigs have been hanging between 145-195 pounds. In general, the final cost of a half pig will range $500-$850 depending on pig weight and your customizations. THIS IS AN ESTIMATE.  Pig final weights can vary and the pigs are randomly assigned to you at slaughter. Small ranges in weight can affect pricing. This is part of why we charge packaged weight, so you are in fact only paying for what you receive. If your total is higher than you expected or budgeted for, please communicate that immediately, and we may offer to purchase some of the meat off of you at the rate we charge your meat to lower your cost.

Please Contact Us with any questions or to make special requests. Upon purchasing this option, we will send you a contract for review. You will have 3 days to sign and return the contract. If you wish to cancel before the 3 day period, we will refund your deposit. After 3 days of no response, the deposit is nonrefundable. After receipt of contract, we will send you the cut sheet that must be returned before slaughter date or cut sheet fee will apply.

You must be able to pick up meet at the slaughterhouse of choice— we do not ship at this time. If we need to transport the meat back for you to your home or our farm, a $50 transport fee will apply. We do not have storage space in our freezers at this time, so pickup must be done in a timely manner.
