Refund policy
We reserve the right to refuse a refund at any time for any reason.
Live Chicks
Live chicks are considered any baby chickens, ducklings, turkeys, goslings, or any other poultry sold under 3 months of age.
We will not offer a refund if a chick turns out to be male, and the customer cannot keep drakes or roosters on their property. Buyer understands that sexing is not 100% guaranteed by us, and buyer must accept this risk. If a bird cannot be kept for this reason, we will take it back for you to safely rehome it. We ask that you wait until we are 100% sure it is a male (for example, you see a defined curled tail on a duck or have heard a crow on a rooster). Some breeds are more difficult to tell than others, so we ask you wait to request a rehome until you know for sure. This will allow less stress on your family and hens. At that time, we will offer a discount on a female if one is available. Buyer must know that there may not be a replacement available at time of surrendering their male. Discount cannot be carried over to the next season.
If a chick dies within 3 days of leaving our farm, we will provide a 50% refund. Pictures of deceased chicks must be emailed to roundhillranchri@gmail.com. Chicks are not sold unless they are healthy, and we cannot control their environment once they leave our farm. Therefore, we can only offer 50% back and ONLY within 3 days of leaving the farm.
Round Hill Ranch is not responsible for death upon transportation if buyer is the one picking up the chicks.
Buyer must have done research on how to care for live chicks, including what they need to eat and the environment in which they need to live. We are happy to answer any and all questions. We reserve the right to refuse to sell any animal if we feel buyer is unable to adequately care for the animal.
Live Poultry
Live poultry is considered any chicken, duck, turkey, goose, or any other bird sold over 3 months of age.
At this age, sexing of your birds is typically known. The policy for Live Chicks applies in the rare case that your bird turned out to be a male that you cannot keep: We will not offer a refund if a bird turns out to be male, and the customer cannot keep drakes or roosters on their property. Buyer understands that sexing is not 100% guaranteed by us, and buyer must accept this risk. If a bird cannot be kept for this reason, we will take it back for you to safely rehome it. If a bird dies within 24 hours of leaving our farm, we will provide a refund. Pictures of deceased birds must be emailed to roundhillranchri@gmail.com. Birds are not sold unless they are healthy, and we cannot control their environment once they leave our farm. Therefore, we can only offer a refund within 24 hours of leaving the farm. Refunds will not be considered or issued beyond this time frame.

We reserve the right to refuse to sell any animal if we feel buyer is unable to adequately care for the animal. Once birds have been raised to about 3 months of age, their chance of survival is very high. Therefore, refunds are not issued beyond the 24 hour timeframe for Live Birds (over 3 months of age).
Goats Kids
Kid goats are considered goats under 6 months of age.
All goat kids will be sold with a sales contract signed by buyer and seller. The contract outlines the details of our agreement and acts as a transfer of ownership to you. A copy of a contract can be provided before sale, and we are happy to answer any questions. A $50 deposit is required for all kids and kid reservations. Deposit is nonrefundable unless Round Hill Ranch is unable to provide the goat kid (ex. doe aborts or kid dies in birth) or if buyer requested a gender that is not available. Deposit can be used towards another kid or refunded to buyer once either of the named circumstances occurs. Deposit cannot be refunded for any other reason.
Goat kids will never be sold as bottle babies except for extremely rare circumstances. We have found this best for the health of the goats. Therefore, only ask for a bottle kid if you are experienced in farming and need one for a companion or emergency situation. All kids will be weaned off their dams and show positive signs of eating grain and hay and drinking water. Kids may be given one bottle a day or every other day for you to bond with your goat, but bottles should not be given past 4 months of age.

Goat kids are only sold if they are 100% healthy. If any issues arise, we will delay your pickup and consult our veterinarian. We always communicate health history of our kids if there is anything to report. Therefore, once goat kids leave the farm, a refund will not be issued for any reason. Buyer must do research on how to care for goat kids. If buyer is unable to provide the correct environment for a goat kid, Round Hill Ranch will gladly take the goat kid back. Deposit nonrefundable. Refund will depend on circumstances.
If a goat kid dies after leaving the farm, pictures must be sent to roundhillranchri@gmail.com. We cannot provide a refund once goat kid leaves the farm because we are unable to control the environment once he/she leaves the farm.
